Flooding caused by heavy rain has led to increased water levels in the Pateira de Fermentelos natural lagoon, surrounded by the municipalities of Oliveira do Bairro, Aveiro, and Águeda. This lagoon is one of the largest in the Iberian Peninsula and is rich in water lilies, aquatic life, and a diverse range of birds. Additionally, it serves as a fantastic photography location, especially with its thick fog that adds a magical atmosphere.
