ART IN MOTION

Work-in-Progress

These moving images extend the photographic work, exploring artworks and spaces through duration. If photography fixes an instant, video traces its unfolding, introducing continuity, rhythm, and transformation. Between the static and the dynamic, the experience unfolds through the encounter with artworks and the spaces that host them.

About Following the Art

Our artistic practice takes us to different locations where artists present their work. These videos extend the photographic projects "Rebuilding Memories / Following the Art" introducing a temporal dimension to the experience of each artwork and its spatial context. Rather than simply documenting, they explore how each work is experienced within the space in which it is presented.

Our work. “The dance of the wheel”, 2024. One of the pieces made for our doctoral thesis in Contemporary Art.. Collaboration Inesa Markava (performance) and Frederico Nunes (saxophone)

The images documenting João Fiandeiro's performance, as shown on video, are our own. The sound comes from the work of Marcia Vaitsman, also included in the XIX International Biennial of Cerveira, 2017.
