The mountain range appears in the distance like a suspended body, still held by winter, while the foreground already opens into greens and yellows that announce another season. Between these two times, the landscape remains in suspension: neither fully cold nor yet arid. The image was captured near Villafranca, by the campsite, in a territory of passage where the terrain still retains the memory of the cold.
The gaze then moves towards the Bardenas Reales, located in the southeast of Navarre, in northern Spain, where the material will become dry, exposed, and without shelter. Here, however, everything still breathes a silent transition, as if the territory hesitates before yielding to the nakedness of the desert.
