Rebuilding Memories / Landscape and Nature
Elgol #69 (2012)
-
Twilight in Elgol transforms the landscape into a study of deep blues and minimalist forms. This photograph attempts to capture the absolute stillness of the sea, where long exposure techniques transform the Atlantic into a smooth, glassy surface. In the distance, the silhouette of the Black Cuillin mountains creates a sharp, jagged boundary against the gentle gradient of the night sky. Each ripple and reflection emphasizes the profound solitude found on the edge of the Isle of Skye. This perspective attempts to offer a poetic interpretation of the Highlands, where the elements of water, rock, and light converge in perfect, silent harmony.
We recommend visiting our "Places to Remember/Isle of Skye" gallery, where we share details of our visits in 2012 and 2014 to the Isle of Skye, Inner Hebrides. -
