The planning of our road trip from Cabo da Roca, the westernmost point of mainland Europe, to the North Cape continues steadily.
While planning the journey and adapting the Volkswagen Transporter for the road ahead, we are also building what will become the road trip journal. The first stage is already taking shape, bringing together routes, photographs and field notes that will continue to evolve as preparations progress. Future stages will be announced here as they are published.
This ongoing transformation is an important step in preparing for an expedition that will cross multiple countries, landscapes and climates, from the Atlantic coast of Portugal to the northernmost reaches of Europe. The goal is not simply to travel between two points, but to document places, experiences and encounters along the way through photography, writing and research.
As preparations continue, we will share further updates about the route, the vehicle conversion and the development of the project.

The road to the North Cape is still ahead of us, but the journey has already begun.

These modifications are part of a wider project combining travel, photography and research. The vehicle is being prepared to support the route ahead, and further updates will be shared as work on the conversion progresses.

Work on the Volkswagen Transporter is now underway as preparations continue for the journey from Cabo da Roca to the North Cape. A dedicated sleeping area is being added to provide greater comfort and flexibility throughout the expedition.
